George C. Thornton III
George C. Thornton III Professor Emeritus at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Purdue University. Diplomate in I/O Psychology, Fellow of the Society for I/O Psychology, Distinguished Alumni Purdue University, Legacy Lifetime Award from the South African Assessment Center Study Group, and Lifetime Achievement Award from the United Kingdom Assessment Centre User Group. Dr Thornton specializes in validated human resource management assessment and development interventions, especially the assessment center method. He has developed, implemented, validated, researched, and legally defended the assessment center method. He is author of scores of publications in refereed journals and six books including Assessment Center Perspective for Talent Management Strategies and Developing Organizational Simulations: A Guide for Practitioners, Students, and Researchers. Dr Thornton has taught at universities, made conference presentations, and consulted with organizations throughout the US, and in Canada, Germany, Belgium, Costa Rica, Switzerland, UK, Israel, South Africa, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, and China.
